The school has a very active and enthusiastic Parents and Teachers Association who organise various fund raising and social activities during the year.

In 2002, the PTA (known at that time as the Russell School and Home Association) successfully applied for charitable Status (Registered Charity No.1095343), allowing the Association to reclaim tax on donations from tax-payers.
