St Andrews Christmas Tree Festival 06 Dec 2008
We were pleased to enter a decorated Christmas tree again this year for the Christmas Tree Festival at St. Andrews Church on the 6th and 7th of December.
We chose “The Nativity” as our theme and each class made different characters and objects from the story. Swans made golden salt dough stars, Robins sparkling angels, Penguins shepherds with woolly sheep, Puffins travellers and innkeepers. Kingfishers made Wise Men and Nightingales made animals.
The “Jesus in the manger” figures were made by the children at home as part of a competition. The entries were wonderful and the three winners were,
Luke in Penguin class, Anna in Puffin class and Phoebe in Kingfishers.
Our tree looked fantastic in the church with the thirty seven other entries. We are now waiting to find out how many votes we received.
