Key Stage 2 Visit to Wardown Park Museum 03 Dec 2008

KS2 visited Wardown Park Museum in Luton for an activity filled day as part of their topic work on World War II.
The children met a housewife then learnt about cooking, rationing.
They prepared for evacuation with role play (packed a suitcase) and handling artefacts.
The children also met and chatted with a soldier and learnt about his equipment, weapons and ammunition.
Finally the children listened to songs and sounds of an air raid, visited an air raid shelter and prepared for an air raid.
It was an interesting and enjoyable trip.
Thank you to the parents and carers who gave their time to accompany us on the trip.
