Parent Governor Forum Letter Jan 2016

Parent Governor Forum

Thank you to all parents who have provided feedback to our forum members on the subjects of homework and accelerated reader. Your input is appreciated and is currently being discussed by Mrs Walker and Miss Watton. Updates will be provided over the coming months. Our next Parent Governor Forum meeting is on 27th June at 7:30pm and will be an opportunity for the forum to discuss ‘bullying’, one of the areas that was highlighted for discussion in the parent questionnaire.

As a reminder, the Forum aims to provide a communication channel between parents and governors to both raise and respond to issues or concerns initially highlighted by the parent questionnaire. It will help the leadership of the school understand what parents and carers think about important issues and will enable us to improve outcomes for children.

The current Forum membership is as follows:

Foundation Stage (Year R)        Faye Casey

                                                Georgina Parkinson

                                                Julie Salsbury

                                                Claire Woodend

                                                Richard Behan

KS1 (Years 1 and 2)                  Chloe Apicella

                                                Sally-Ann Butterworth

                                                Caroline Hunt

                                                Pavlina Fox

KS2 (Years 3 and 4)                Susannah Shaw

                                               Julia Rooney

                                               Martin Owen

We are keen to make it as easy as possible for all parents and carers to give us their views via the Forum.  This can be done via a ‘Face to Face’ conversation with a Forum member (see the Forum ‘photo’ boards in each classroom) or via the Forum’s email address:

We very much look forward to hearing your views and appreciate you taking the time to contribute.

Yours sincerely,

Mr Andrew Allison                                        Mrs Nicki Walker
