Shoe Box Appeal

16th October 2014

Dear Parents/Carers,

Mrs. Millway has met with the Rotakids and we are now launching our shoebox appeal.

Mrs. Milway explained about this year’s Rotary Shoebox Scheme, which we are keen to support.  We hope each class will be able to fill a box provided by Rotary with small gifts/toys which will then be sent to children who need them most in some of the toughest parts of the world.

We would appreciate any donations of new items you can offer to support this campaign.

Items we would appreciate include:

  • ‘Matchbox’ size toy cars
  • Small bouncy balls
  • Dolls
  • Colouring Books
  • Felt Tip Pens
  • Lego
  • Jigsaws

We are happy to take monetary donations if you would prefer as this helps towards transport costs to Eastern Europe

PLEASE REMEMBER ITEMS MUST BE SMALL ENOUGH TO FIT IN A SHOEBOX !

Please avoid battery operated toys and war toys

Please also avoid items with large amounts of English writing

No Liquids/Food/Drink

There will be an example of a shoe box on display in the dining room showing the type of items that would be suitable

Please hand any donations to your child’s Class Teacher.

Thank you for your support
