We have uploaded some work for all of you for this week in English, Maths, Geography, History and Science. You can find one document for each day that has all your activities within it. We hope that you will find it helpful in keeping you in touch with school.

Please remember to read every day. Don’t forget you can take an Accelerated Reader quiz at home. Also try to spend some time on Times Tables Rock Stars. Why don’t you have a go on Rockslam (on the multiplayer tab) and see if you can beat your teacher?

Hopefully you have managed to enjoy some of the recent lovely sunny weather and have been out in your gardens burning off some energy! We cannot wait to hear all about the wonderful things you have been doing at home.

Keep reading everyday and keep taking Accelerated Reader quizzes. It is a wonderful time and opportunity to sit and really enjoy books! Also, keep going on Times Table Rock Stars. You're all making fantastic progress and it's great to see!

The weather has continued to be lovely and so we hope you've had a chance to go outside and enjoy it! We also hope you've had lots of chances to learn, have fun, be creative and be caring. You've all been amazing so keep it up!

Don’t forget that you now have access to a class email. We love hearing from you, even if it just to say hello or share something that you are proud of. We love receiving your emails and seeing photos of what you have been up to. You are making us all so proud and hearing from you puts a big smile on our faces.

Please remember to continue to read every day. It really is amazing to see so many of you taking Accelerated Reader quizzes whilst you’re at home. Also try to spend time playing Times Tables Rock Stars – don’t forget you can challenge each other and your teachers by playing on Rock Slam under the Multiplayer tab.

Now that our class emails are up and running, don’t forget you can send a message to your teacher. You could show some work that you are proud of or something fun and creative you have been up to at home! We absolutely love hearing from you so please keep the messages coming!

Additionally in the packs for this week, there is a mindfulness activity. We hope that it will be a good opportunity for you to be calm, reflect on everything and refocus yourself, as we know being at home all the time can be tough.

Please continue to remember to read daily and quiz on books using Accelerated Reader as much as possible. It is always great to see you still completing a quiz on books and how great you are at completing the quizzes at home. Also, continue to use Times Table Rockstars as knowing your times tables really well will help you next year!

We have loved receiving emails from all of you so keep sending them! We love seeing fantastic work or things that are just to make us smile. In addition, if you have any questions we can try to answer them and are happy to help you whenever you need it.

I hope that by now you have all seen the school video and identified all the adults you work with at school in them.  Remember, if you start to miss school you can always re-watch it and see who else you can spot.

To all of our lovely Year 3s,

Another week of home learning complete! Well done, you have all been absolutely amazing and we are all so proud of you.

This coming week is half term, therefore there will be no home learning packs for you to complete. If you would like to, you can continue to read and complete your quizzes on Accelerated Reader and practise your times tables on Times Table Rockstars.

We hope that you have a lovely half term week at home, the weather is set to be warm and sunny, so enjoy your walks and time outside in the garden. Remember to wear those sun hats, sun cream and drink plenty of water (and eat plenty of ice cream)!

We are missing you all so much and school is not the same without you all here. We know it is starting to get difficult to keep motivated but keep going, we have been so impressed with the work we have seen so far. Keep sending us emails of your work or emails to say ‘hello’, whilst it may take us a bit longer to reply, we love reading them and an email can brighten up our days!

Hello lovely Year 3s,

We hope you are all well and have been able to enjoy some of the sunshine this week. Here at Russell, we cannot believe how quickly the last four weeks have gone and that there are now only a handful of weeks left of the official term.

We are continuing to make sure there are lots of hand on activities for you to complete this week. As well as the usual Geography, Science and Art we have new DT learning this week all about building bridges and some PE too which we hope you will enjoy. We really hope you are continuing to embrace your home learning packs and are finding the loom videos helpful. 

Please keep sending us your work to the class emails and enjoy your reading and times table practise.

Week commencing 6.7.20

Hello fab Year 3s,

We hope you have been enjoying completing your home learning this week and are continuing to do your very best! We know it has been such a long time but we are still so proud of all the effort you are putting in – keep it up! J

Like last week, you have SPaG, English and Maths learning to complete each day as well as Geography, DT, Art, PE and new Science learning this week as we begin to explore light and dark. Remember to look out for our Loom videos on the Russell website if you need any help or are in need of some motivation!

It has been so lovely to speak to catch up with so many of you over the last few weeks as we have begun to make our phone calls home. Please do not worry if you are yet to hear from us – we will be calling you soon!

Hi Year 3,

This is it! Your final week of home learning to complete before you can begin to enjoy the summer holidays. We really could not be prouder of you for continuing to persevere with your learning whilst at home. We hope you enjoy your last week of activities and look forward to seeing what you get up to. Remember you can still complete Accelerated Reader quizzes and earn coins on Times Table Rock Stars over the summer!

It was so lovely to see so many of your smiling faces at our transition meetings last week. We hope you all enjoyed meeting your new teacher and can start the summer excited to return as Year 4s!

You really are such a fantastic bunch of children and we will miss you all lots. We hope you have the best summer and look forward to seeing you back at Russell in September.
