Bereavement
1 in 29 children will suffer from bereavement before the age of 16 (that is approximately one in each class).
Bereavement can manifest in anxiety, anger, avoidance, guilt, impaired ability to concentrate/focus, sadness, tiredness/sleep issues and/or physical complaints.
It is always helpful to inform your child's teacher if you or your child has experienced a bereavement recently so that we can support them during this difficult time.
