On Monday 21st October 2024 the children of Russell Lower were put through their paces by 2024 Olympic Games bronze medalist, Victoria Ohuruogu. All children from Foundation Stage to Year 4 took part in a high intensity circuit of activities and it was wonderful to see the children (and staff) giving 100%.

Victoria followed the sessions by leading an assembly on patience and perseverance where she spoke about her journey to become Britain’s number 1 athlete over 400m and the set-backs that she had encountered. It was an absolutely amazing morning will a real buzz around the school! Remember to keep your fundraising going to the end of the week when we are hoping to announce a very impressive figure that will support us in purchasing new physical equipment for the school.
