Dear Parents and Carers,
Every year, we support the Rotary in their mission to eradicate Polio. We have been helping for 15 years and have seen the number of countries and people affected by this terrible disease slashed in that time. It is so lovely for the children to see what a difference their actions make.
This year, children and parents are invited to send £1 into school this week only. This 'buys' a Teddy Trail entry form to go on a hunt around Ampthill over half term (or before and up to 25th of February, in case you are away/busy). This £1 will vaccinate 4 children against Polio. Year 1 to 4 had an assembly yesterday to explain this so the children can hopefully tell you even more, such as how they mark each child's finger with a purple dye so they know they have already received the vaccine.
If you would like your child to take part, or simply to make a donation, please send a £1 in with your child any day this week and we will ensure it is passed on. Your child will bring home the Teddy Trail hunt sheet with them. These are also available from the Library and Lucky Hare book shop too. The hunt sheets should be returned to school as soon as possible after half term with your child's name (first name and initial of surname) and class clearly marked. A lucky winner will be chosen at random by Mrs Milway to receive a book token prize too.
Please see the attached poster for more details.
Thank you for your support.
Many thanks and kind regards,
Zoe Hitchings
