Domestic Abuse support

Karma Nirvana
An award-winning National charity supporting victims of honour-based abuse and forced marriage. During the Covid-19 lockdown evidences a 200% increase in overall contacts over a 6-week period from 16 March to 24 April. As victims found access to services in the UK increasingly restricted due to social distancing and lockdown, victims self-referring to the helpline for the first time have increased by 28% when compared with the period prior to lockdown.

Own My Life Taster/Information sessions (female survivors of domestic abuse)

Will be running a new course called Own My Life for women who have been through domestic abuse and are looking for a course to help them make sense of what has happened and how they can move on and recover. This course will be replacing Pattern Changing and is able to be delivered via Zoom which means that we will be able to begin running the first course as soon as possible.
